How to improve your salon's numbers? Cristiano Braggion tells us
The interview with Cristiano Braggion, author of “The Code of the Extraordinary Hairdresser” and co-founder of Boss.

Hi Cristiano, thank you for giving us your time, I'd go straight to the questions, what do you say?
Hi, absolutely yes!
Not everyone knows you, tell us a little about yourself…
I can already tell you that you'll find a bit of my story in the book!
Until I was 15, I was a very shy boy, what many today would call a loser. I didn't have many friends and I preferred to be alone rather than in company. You wouldn't say it today, but it's true!
Around 16, I started to change a bit, also thanks to the results I had achieved in the sport I practiced, but as I also recount in the book, my life changed when I met Oriana, my wife. I met Oriana when she was 15, she was an apprentice hairdresser at the time, and at 18 she even opened her own salon. I, on the other hand, was fumbling in the dark. The feeling I had for Oriana and her reciprocated interest gave me the push to understand my potential and what I wanted from myself.
You recently wrote a book: how did the idea come about?
The extraordinary hairdresser's code was born after years of study, work, but above all, passion for the beauty sector. The desire to always do more and better are values that fall precisely within the term extraordinary, meaning beyond everything considered ordinary. The encounter with my wife Oriana and with Marco De Campo, with whom I started Boss, allowed me to learn a lot, put theory into practice, and deal with management problems. This pushed me to seek concrete solutions, first to help my wife's business and then, to boost the numbers of all beauty salons. The book's objective is to stir the consciences of professionals, ask them questions, and convey the idea that improving corporate culture by focusing on organization through the application of technology and automation inevitably leads to an increase in turnover.
What do you talk about in the extraordinary hairdresser's code?
In the book, I describe a new way of organizing oneself, to grow professionally and unleash the full potential of beauty salons. How? Through some key points:
- Organization & management
- Personal growth
- Communication & Marketing
- Team building
- New culture
The book is designed for everyone who owns a salon or is thinking of opening one.
And I already know you'll ask me if these topics are understandable for those who are not industry insiders and, therefore, don't have specific skills, and I already tell you yes!
Yes, because the topics covered are approached by me with an understandable approach, especially for those who do not have particular technical or business preparation.
But in the end, what needs to be done to break free from the ordinary?
The first thing to do is to change ourselves. The first step is to free our minds from any mental construct and overcome our limits. How? By discovering and allowing ourselves to be inspired. The second step is definitely to move on to business and start approaching concepts like marketing, technology, the organization of work and people, but in a positive and concrete way. In all phases, one thing is always forbidden: giving up due to the fear of not succeeding or making mistakes; it is necessary to become fear-proof.
I advise those who are afraid to get involved and fail not to buy the book; it would be a waste of time and money. For everyone else, I await you within my pages!
