Management software, a growing market – data and forecasts for 2023

These are just some of the data emerged from the research “Management software in Italy: the transformation path of SMEs and PAs” by the Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with AssoSoftware.

Awareness of the importance of digital technology is therefore growing, but only 9% of SMEs and 7% of Public Administrations interviewed can be defined as “advanced” according to the maturity index in the use of management software.

Among the software considered within the analysis scope, the most significant growth was recorded by Document Management and workflow modules (adopted by 48% of SMEs), and Administrative and Accounting Management modules (present in 87% of companies.)

According to a Forrester research, forecasts for 2023 will lead to a +5% growth in IT software and services sales.
